To assist and support disadvantaged and vulnerable people in their efforts to improve their health, education and make a difference in their as well as other people’s lives.
• We aim to identify the most pressing needs of people from disadvantaged and vulnerable groups through a careful selection process.
• We listen, learn from, respect and partner with local organizations to support the needs determined by local people.
• Rather that implementing projects ourselves, we cooperate with our local partners to cover the gaps they identify and build upon the strengths of their existing work.
• Instead of limiting our mission on one particular narrowly defined area, we have adopted a flexible approach of reaching out where help is needed most and where we can help making the greatest difference in peoples’ lives. This allows us to provide assistance to people who might not be able to get it elsewhere or may fall through the gaps of larger humanitarian organizations.
One of our sources of inspiration is Sonja Ivanko (1939-1998), who worked selflessly with disabled children giving them hope and love.
